Juno Beach at Selsey

The Bognor club was asked to put on a D-Day themed game as part of the Selsey D-Day commemorations today. The event itself included stands along the high street and a parade. We were in the back room of a local craft shop, and the husband of the proprietor did a very good job of ushering people down to us and we had a good few visitors come in.

Meanwhile, just off Juno Beach...

A section of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles moves inland on D-Day.

Dodgy photoshopped background so that I could put in my Tabletop Workshop chapel as well! Figures are Warlord Games Plastic Brits painted as Canadians, with fiddly unit insignia decals on the arms.

Romans and Men-at-Arms

Actually finished something off, so I've changed this blog into a general painting blog rather than just large scale busts. Finished off two units of troops, one Classical and one Medieval. Click the pics to enlarge.

First up, Roman Legionaries - plastic figures from Warlord Games.

...and secondly Mounted Men-at-Arms from Fireforge Games.
